MODAPOWER’s facilities comprise over 30 acres including factories and branches. The company has an annual production capacity of UP TO 8,000 gensets ranging from 8 kw to 2,500 kw.

MODAPOWER has grown and is known for offering solutions tailored to the particular needs of each client and for being flexible in their production. In each of the briefly outlined years there are hundreds of stories that have made MODAPOWER into a worldwide Peruvian benchmark and has gained admiration and respect from all its customers. Today Modapower is highly renowned for its quality and prestige.

The Modapower brand was launched as part of the expansion strategy into the North American market, thanks to the free trade agreement with the United States and Canada.

CANADA
Entry into the Canadian market, opening new business opportunities and establishing Modasa as an international company.

CHILE
Modasa strengthens its sales in Chile, reinforcing our presence in this market.

2023

UL Certificaction
Modasa achieves UL 142 certification for sub-base tanks and external tanks applied to the use of generators.

2022

UNITED STATES
Consolidation of sales to the US as our main export market.

2020

Electric bus
Modasa manufactures the first electric bus in South America.

2019

UL Certificaction
Modasa moves forward and obtains UL 2200 certification, which guarantees Modasa’s safety and quality standards.

ISO 9001
Modasa achieves ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Manufacturing and exporting
Modasa consolidates its leading position in the market of manufacturing and exporting generator sets to South America..

2010

Manufacture
Modasa wins the government tender to manufacture all the buses of the Metropolitan Line, the largest public transportation network in Peru.

2009

ISO 9001 and TLC
Modasa achieves ISO 9001:2008 certification. The free trade agreement between Peru and the United States and Canada begins, opening the door to more exports.

2008

Plant
Modasa inaugurates a new plant in the Lurin district of Lima, with an area of over 100,000 m².

2006

Natural gas city bus
Modasa manufactures the first natural gas city bus, of which more than 2,000 units have been sold to date. Additionally, MODASA becomes a 100% private company.

2003

Exporting generator sets
Modasa begins exporting generator sets to Central America.

2000

Starts production
Modasa starts production of bus bodies for chassis assembled by Agrale, Scania, Volkswagen and other world-renowned brands. It becomes the company with the highest sales of bus bodies nationwide.

Exporting generator sets
Modasa begins exporting generator sets to South America.

1990

Production of generator sets
Modasa begins the manufacture and mass production of generator sets, becoming to this day the leader in the sector in Peru.

1st Modasa engine
The first Modasa engine is manufactured.

1985

15,000 engines
Modasa reaches production of 15,000 engines.

1977

Begins operations
Modasa begins operations in the city of Trujillo, with a license from Volvo and Perkins, and starts production of diesel engines. It also ceases to be a public company due to the increase in capital from private investors.
